Frank Paré is the 2018 President of the Financial Planning Association and president and founder of PF Wealth Management Group in Oakland, California. Paré wrote a noteworthy op-ed for FinancialPlanning on what the industry can gain from fostering and prioritizing diversity.
Paré wrote in alignment with Black History Month on the strides the industry has made since he became a CFP professional 13 years ago. Yet at the same time, he notes that there is much progress to be continued in order to better serve clients. “The possibilities are endless. It’s just a matter of bringing those in our profession together to move the needle,” Paré said in his perspective.
“As the FPA’s first African-American president I’m excited about the progress we have made, but I think we can do more and aim higher by working together.”
