Advisory Board

Jean Heath, CIMA®, Chairwoman
Envestnet Institute On Campus Advisory Board

Jean, is Principal Director, Asset Management Relations; Asset Manager Network Services, of Envestnet. She has 24 years of diverse experiences within the managed account and advisory business and has held leadership roles in key account management, consultative sales, strategic marketing, branding, and channel development.

Currently, she is responsible for the investment products on the Envestnet platform and determines and optimizes the economic model and engagement between Envestnet and its asset manager partners. Her team is responsible for deepening relationships with asset managers across the Envestnet suite of services, and ensuring that these managers have the tools, training, and knowledge they need to be successful distributors throughout the Envestnet ecosystem.

She also is Head Chair of Envestnet’s managed product acceptance committee and advocates industry best practices. She has been an active mentor to young women professionals and is the Chairwoman of the Envestnet Institute on Campus Board and a member of Money Management Institute (MMI) Board of Governors. Jean is also a member of the Women’s Leadership Forum of Philadelphia. In 2017, she was named one of Profiles in Diversity Journal Women Worth Watching. Learn more>

Anand Sekhar

Anand Sekhar, is Vice President of Practice Management & Consulting for Fidelity InstitutionalSM, a business unit of Fidelity Investments dedicated to serving financial intermediaries and institutions. In this role, he is a strategic business consultant to clients and contributor to Fidelity’s Practice Management program, helping lead the direction and development of advisor tools, whitepapers and resources in the areas of client experience, strategic planning, and talent strategies.

Prior to his current role, Anand spent several years in roles in Fidelity’s retirement division and as part of a mid-level leadership development program rotating across the firm.

Prior to joining Fidelity in 2004, Mr. Sekhar worked for several years at Procter & Gamble helping launch Charmin into Canada and Latin America.

Mr. Sekhar received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Masters of Business Administration from Babson College. Learn more>

Sharon Rosenthal

Board Member

Sharon Rosenthal, is the Chief Human Resources Officer and joined Envestnet in 2013 and is responsible for overall human resources strategy, talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and cultural development, employee education and development, compensation and benefits, HR operations and technology, and employee relations. Laura James, CIMA®AAMS®

Laura James, CIMA®AAMS®, is a Vice President with the Platform Relations Team.  In her current capacity, she works with custodial firms, banks and private banks for Franklin Templeton and is responsible for home office client engagement, including business development, product placement and the communication of Franklin Templeton investment insights.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Laura was a Director of National Accounts for Columbia Threadneedle Investments where she held key strategic relationships with broker dealers, banks and private banks.  She joined Columbia Threadneedle in 2003 as a member of retail distribution before joining the Strategic Relationship Team in 2007.

She has 22 years of experience in financial services and holds an M.B.A. from The University of North Carolina – Charlotte as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University.   Ms. James holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation, Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation, and is a member of the Investments and Wealth Institute.  In addition, Laura holds the Series 7, Series 63 and Series 24 licenses.

In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering with Love Without Boundaries, a non-profit charitable organization providing humanitarian aid to orphaned and impoverished children.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Gift of Adoption Fund Carolina’s Chapter. Learn more>

Tricia Baxter

Board Member

Tricia Baxter, is currently a Product Manager with the Envestnet Analytics team. She has been involved with the Envestnet Institute on Campus program since its inception in 2015 as the Associate Program Director. Her responsibilities included interacting with the students, universities and sponsors. In addition, she managed the website, eLearning program and all inquiries on the program. In 2019, Tricia transitioned from the tactical responsibilities of the program and joined the Advisory Board in 2019 to help support efforts to grow the program. Learn more>

Paul Drakeley

Program Sponsor and Board Member 

 

Paul Drakeley, is Managing Director, and head of the USWA RIA & Direct National Accounts team responsible for business development and relationship management to custodians, national RIAs, TAMPs, direct investor platforms and wealthtech firms for BlackRock.

Prior to this role, Paul was head of National Accounts for the wirehouse channel with primary responsibility for BlackRock’s relationship with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.   Paul joined BlackRock in 2010 on the iShares National Accounts team leading coverage for wirehouses, independent and regional broker-dealers.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Paul worked at the Vanguard Group as a National Accounts Executive and Regional Sales Executive responsible for national and regional broker-dealer channels for Vanguard’s ETFs and mutual funds.   Previously, Paul was a fixed-income trader in Vanguard’s Brokerage Services business.

Paul prior experience includes various sales and trading and wealth management roles within Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. Paul received a BS in Finance and an MBA from LaSalle University.   He holds his series 7, 24, 63 and 65 FINRA licenses.

Kipp Cormier

Board Member

Kipp Cormier, is the Senior Director, and Eastern Divisional Manager of the Advisor Sales and Practice Solutions Team at Envestnet. In this role, he maintains oversight of the sales team responsible for supporting advisors in the Eastern part of the US, empowering them to leverage Envestnet’s always-on financial wellness ecosystem and deliver The Intelligent Financial LifeTM for their clients. Kipp possesses over 25 years of sales experience, with more than 17 years in the financial services industry, holding various senior sales positions with leading Fortune 500 companies.
